A THANKFUL PRAYER

The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?» (Psalm 27:1).

Thank You, Jesus, for the rain,

That washes away all my pain.

Thank You, Jesus, for the sun,

That reminds me to ask You to come

Into my heart forever.

Thank You, Jesus, for the wind,

That brings me comfort when I have sinned.

Thank You, Jesus, for the sky so vast,

For when I am tired I can cast

A gaze upon the stars that will always last.

Thank You, Jesus, for the tiny flower,

That makes life seem not so sour.

Thank You, Jesus, for Your love,

That is so lavishly poured down from above.

Thank You, Jesus, for dying on the cross,

So I know I will never be lost.

And also, thank You, Jesus, for Your grace,

Without it, I would never be able to see Your face.
