IS THE LITTLE  FLOWER DEAD?

EVERYDAY-OBJECTS

«And [he] should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how» (Mark 4:27).

“Daddy, look. That little flower is dead,” said the little girl when she interrupted her walk right in front of my window.

«No, little girl. It is not dead. Now it is going to be food in the ground for the little birds and the ants, » explained the father, and they continued walking.

I have heard many funny conversations from my window. I do not do so with the intention of intruding; I just hear the snippets of conversation, whistles, or other expressions that occur in those seconds while people pass by. Sometimes I have been surprised by deep thoughts like this.

I recently read that fires are necessary to maintain biodiversity on the planet. They help regulate the carbon cycle, maintain adequate levels of oxygen in the atmosphere, disperse some seeds, develop natural protection in some trees, and adapt some species to these «disasters.» Some plants germinate only after a fire, and others are activated in response to the smoke.

Of course, with this concept, we cannot excuse our bad behavior and the climate changes that we have unleashed on nature by not caring for and by busing it. Many of these fires are taking place in an unbalanced way today, both as a result of our mistreatment and because we are the ones who initiate them for various non-beneficial purposes; however, the lesson hidden behind nature can teach us something today.

“The good seed may for a time lie unnoticed in a cold, selfish, worldly heart, giving no evidence that it has taken root; but afterward, as the Spirit of God breathes on the soul, the hidden seed springs up, and at last bears fruit to the glory of God” (Christ’s Object Lessons, ch. 3, p. 65).

There are people who are ready to germinate who have the seed that was once planted hidden in their hearts. They are waiting for the fire of the Holy Spirit to make them sprout. For this, God can use us in His work as intermediaries, not only to wait, but also to hasten the coming of Jesus.

In addition, remember that some things must also fall or die in your life in order to have more life, regeneration, or multiplication.

God has a lot to do with His «seeds» and the parable of the sower, which raised so many questions in the disciples. It can also be a parable that we study more carefully today.
