Do you know who Jesus is?
There are some people who believe that Jesus was just a good man who helped people. Others believe that He was a prophet sent by God. But the vast majority of Christians in this world believe what the Bible says: that Jesus is the Son of God.
When Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River, as He came out of the water, the sky was opened and a voice that came from heaven said, «This is my dearly loved Son» (you can read it in Mark 9:7). Therefore, everyone there knew that Jesus was the Son of God.
Like God the Father, Jesus has existed for all eternity and is the Creator of the universe, of our planet, and of all of us who live on it. But when Adam and Eve disobeyed in Eden, eating from the tree that God had told them not to eat, Jesus offered to come to our planet as a baby to die for us, save us from evil, and defeat Satan. That means Jesus is human like you and me, but He’s also God.
Jesus came to our planet to show that God is LOVE and to prove that Satan is wrong, that we can obey and choose good as He did.
Jesus died so that we don’t have to die forever. He rose again and showed that Cod is more powerful than Satan, and that if you believe in Him and accept Him as your Savior, you will have eternal life again, like Adam and Eve before disobeying.
Jesus said, «And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.»
