«And since we are his children, we are his heirs.In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory.But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering» (Romans 8:17, NLT).
YOU ARE someone very important and special to God. When He looks at you, He does not see the rough or iron-willed Woman that you believe yourself to be. When He sees you, it is not to point out your defects of character, the foolishness of your words, or the deficiencies in your spiritual life. God does not stop to condemn you if you allow your arrogance to surface at some point. When God looks at you through His eyes of tenderness, what He sees is a diamond in the rough that still needs to be polished, a precious pearl that must be extracted from its rough and rocky outer layer. He knows that working with you will be hard because you are human; you have your own will, and you do not easily allow the infinite beauty that He could get from you for His honor and glory to be drawn out.
Yes, dear friend, that is what you are: a treasure of incalculable value, because Jesus bought you with His blood. He allowed Himself to be nailed to a cross for you; His soul and His body were overcome by the most atrocious pain anyone on the face of the earth has ever felt. He accepted the nails because of His infinite love for you. He created you and redeemed you; He loves you twice over. is what is in His gaze when He looks at your life.
Heaven and earth testified that Christ’s forehead was wounded, punctured by thorns that made blood flow from His haggard face because of your sin, and that His body was battered on the cruel cross of Calvary. He was making that sacrifice so that you might have salvation and life, and that sacrifice determines the way He sees you. sacrifice is in reality His love; can it be any clearer? Jesus loves you, even more than you love yourself. So, rise up, daughter of the King. It is already time for you to understand that you are an heir of His glory.
You have many reasons to feel whole, thankful, and ready to live out your Christianity today. «For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior Since you were precious in My sight, you have been honored, and I have loved you» (Isaiah 43:3, 4), You need nothing more.
