Do you like superheroes?
I imagine you know about Spider-Man, Batman, Thor, Captain America, and all the others. But you know that all those superheroes are the result of someone’s imagination. They are fiction, so they never existed before, don’t exist now, and will never exist.
However, there is a Superhero who does exist, and His abilities to do things for human beings are real. Every day, those who know about His abilities are amazed by them.
Do you know who I mean? Yes, Jesus is the only superhero who has ever existed and still exists.
When Jesus came to our planet, He showed that He had real power to do good. The miracles He performed impressed everyone. Jesus made the lame walk, the deaf hear, and the blind see. He cured the lepers, healed the paralyzed . . . His love and His power transformed all who met Him.
The world needs a superhero to come rescue us. And which is the only
Superhero who does exist and can come rescue us? Jesus. That’s why the Bible says that Jesus is the «Desire of All Nations.»
Jesus is a real Superhero who loves you, protects you, and wants to be your friend. The Desire of All Nations will come one day to rescue us and take us to live forever with Him.
Can you imagine how Jesus will come back to rescue us? Draw a picture in your Prayer Journal of how you imagine the second coming of Jesus will be.
