Did you know that you have an angel that takes care of you and protects you?
Angels are created beings like you and me. They have not existed forever.
You can read it in Colossians 1:16: «For by him [the Son of God] all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether they are kings, lords, rulers, or powers» (ISV).
Angels, then, are heavenly or spiritual beings, while we are earthly beings, but both were created by God.
Although they are invisible, since we can’t see them, the angels were created with a very important function. The word «angel» means «messenger,» and in the Bible angels are mentioned more than two hundred times. They have multiple tasks: to praise and worship God, carry messages from God to human beings, guide, provide food and assistance, protect, help, give strength and encouragement, answer prayers .
Angels can take on human form because the Bible says that “some have had angels as their guests without being aware of it» (Hebrews 13:2, ISV).
The apostle Paul says that «all of them are spirits on a divine mission, sent to serve those who are about to inherit salvation» (you can read it in Hebrews 1:14, ISV).
There are different types of angels: archangels, cherubs, and seraphim.
Gabriel and Lucifer are perhaps the angels mentioned the most in the Bible.
Although God created them perfect and good, not all angels are good. There are also bad angels who, influenced by Satan, opposed God.
But God has chosen one of the good ones to take care of you every day of your life, and that angel will always accompany you wherever you go.
Thank Jesus today in your Prayer Journal for having an angel who takes care of you every day.
