“Since you were precious in My sight,
You have been honored, and I have loved you;
Therefore I will give men for you and people for your life.” (Isaiah 43:4)
IT’S AMAZING to realize that we are God’s handiwork. A woman’s value begins with this truth.
Appreciating ourselves and recognizing our personal worth should be the most natural thing in the world, but as a women we tend to develop destructive thoughts, which means we don’t grant ourselves the value we deserve by creation. This is a way of thinking that we must change with the Lord’s help.
Sometimes our problems is that we have the wrong notion that it’s arrogance to consider that we are value women who appreciate ourselves; but this isn’t’ true. The problem is that we are not realistic when we evaluate ourselves; and this is arrogance. But knowing that we are precious because we are God’s handiwork is not being arrogant.
We read in Romans 12:3: “Do not think of yourself highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.” (NIV).
Our task is to value ourselves for who we really are: daughters of God. There is no arrogance at all in this, but rather acknowledgement of the Lord.
Dear friend, you’re very precious; not because of what you think of yourself or what others think of you, but because of what you are to God: He made you and redeemed you. Don’t allow yourself to be downcast by experiences that hurt your memories and damage your heart to the point they embitter you. Trace your path with God, and sow kind words and optimistic smiles that millions of women need so much. Manage your feminine resources and feel capable of fulfilling the task you chose to do or the one life has placed before you. Take pleasure in simple things, because in so doing, you adorn yourself with humility and become great in the eyes of God and your neighbor.
Choose the kind of woman you want to be, considering your special features. Join the sisterhood of fellow women, without comparisons, rivalry or arrogance.
Remember, we are all daughters of the same Father! This is Who we’re all extremely precious in His sight, and should be in our own sight m well.
