Both previous answers are correct
Do you only use the word «amen» when you pray?
If you only use the word «amen» to end your prayers, then you have to read this.
«Amen» is a Hebrew word that means «so be it.»
In the Bible it is used a lot to claim that something is true. For example, since God always tells the truth, He always keeps His promises.
That is why you can say «amen.»
God promised to send His Son to save us, and He fulfilled that promise, right? That is why you can say «amen.»
When you praise God singing, like King David did in the Psalms, you can also say «amen.» Every time you praise God in some way in the church, at school, or at home, you can say «amen.»
Besides that, saying «amen» or «so be it» is not only a way to praise God, but also a way of thanking God for what He does for you.
So when you’re grateful for something, say «amen.»
It is also a way of telling Jesus that you agree with or accept everything He says in the Bible, and that you accept the plan He has for your life as well.
So if you agree, you can say «amen.»
If you accept Jesus as your personal Savior, say «amen» today.
Of course, if you are sure that Jesus will return a second time to take you to live with Him for eternity, say «amen.»
Now you know what «amen» means. Don’t say «amen» only when you finish your prayer, but during all the activities of the day.
Tell Jesus «amen» today in your Prayer Journal.
