WHAT IS JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH?

Underline the correct answer

a. Being righteous by faith in Jesus

b. Being righteous by obeying the law

c. Being righteous by faith and by obeying the law

Have you ever felt that you’re very bad?

You may have disobeyed your parents, or you may have kept something that was not yours. Maybe you didn’t share a treat with your little sister or hit someone at school . .

I have to tell you that the Bible says that there is no one good in this world.

We are all bad. However, there is good news: even though we misbehave and deserve to be punished because we haven’t been obedient, God makes us righteous, justifies us, declares us innocent. We aren’t guilty anymore!

Do you know how He justifies us? He does so when we believe in Jesus.

Don’t you find it wonderful? Jesus received the punishment for the things you do wrong and if you have faith that He died for you, then you’re justified. You’re declared righteous and innocent.

That’s what adults call justification by faith. Justification is produced by faith in Jesus. If you believe that Jesus is your Savior and that He can forgive you for what you do wrong, then He erases everything. Like pressing a computer key, it’s instantaneous.

God sees us as perfect and good because Jesus is righteous.

Jesus loves you so much that He has given His life for you.

No matter how many things you have done wrong, He forgives you and helps you to be better every day. You just have to believe in Him! You don’t have to do anything, because Jesus already did everything for you by dying on the cross.

Write in your Prayer Journal what justification by faith means.
