Have you ever had to ask for forgiveness?
There are people who continually ask for forgiveness, but those apologies are not always sincere. Others feel ashamed; yet others fear the consequences, and some are too proud and never ask for forgiveness.
How do you react when you know that you have done something that is not right?
The Bible says that the first thing we have to do is recognize our error and repent, that is, feel sad and have the sincere purpose of never doing evil again. Asking for forgiveness is recognizing that we are bad and accepting that only Jesus can forgive us and erase our sins in such a way that He never remembers them again.
Jesus’s forgiveness is better than the eraser you bring to school, than the detergent you use to wash clothes or the key to erase from the computer.
Jesus died for you and me; and thanks to His death on the cross we can be cleansed from all evil, as if we had never sinned.
It’s never too late to tell Jesus all those bad things that you have done or thought throughout the day. Every night pray to Jesus and ask for forgiveness if you feel that you have hurt someone or have been disrespectful to God.
Jesus wants you to accept His love and forgiveness when you feel guilty about something. Remember that He’s your Savior and that He’s always waiting for you with open arms, no matter what you have done. It’s never too late. If you sincerely repent and ask for forgiveness, jesus always forgives you, erases your sins, and never remembers them again.
