Do you think Jesus keeps track of how many times He forgives you?
Of course, not Jesus’ forgiveness can’t be counted because His love and forgiveness are infinite.
Jesus told Peter that number because he had asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone whos is against me? Seven times?» (read about it in Matthew 18:21).
Peter wanted Jesus to know how generous he was because he not only forgave one time, but up to seven times, but Jesus replied,” No, not seven times, but seventy times seven!»
Jesus taught Peter that if he wanted to be His disciple, he had to increase that number because jesus forgives us to infinity and beyond.
Do you know why? Because Jesus loves you to infinity and beyond. That’s why He’s always willing to forgive much more than we forgive those who hurt us.
Are you willing to forgive to infinity like Jesus does?
In your Prayer Journal, ask Him to help you love others the way He does and forgive up to seventy times seven and much more.
