TO WHAT DOES JESUS COMPARE THOSE BORN OF THE SPIRIT?

Have you ever wondered what the wind can be used for?

Wind is used to navigate, to spread flower seeds, to help birds fly, to create energy …

But why does it blow? The wind depends on a motor that is the source of the energy that we use on Earth: the sun.

When the sun warms the earth’s surface, hot air rises while cold air, be­ ing heavier, descends. This causes air currents to try to equalize the temper­ature differences. These currents are called «winds.»

Meteorologists (people who study phenomena in the atmosphere) study how the wind forms to predict what the weather will be like at different places on earth. For this they use satellite images.

The wind that increases its speed for a short period of time is called a «gust.» Strong winds that have an intermediate duration are called «squalls.» Strong winds that have a long duration are called «hurricane» or «typhoons.»

Have you noticed that the wind can be heard but not seen? Besides, you can’t control it; the wind comes and goes. ln the same way, the Holy Spirit comes and goes, but you can hear His voice when He «blows» into your con­science and tells you that you have done something wrong.

When the wind blows, remember that the Holy Spirit is always speaking to you and helping you make the right decisions so that you can be «born» of the Spirit; in other words, so that you can give your life to Jesus and live happily.
