«The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet». Romans 16:20, NW

On the scheduled day, Pastor De Gracia arrived with his wife and two daughters. As they were getting ready to begin their photo shoot, the tigress got into an attack position and just as she was about to pounce on one of his daughters, Pastor De Gracia placed himself between the animal and his child. He managed to save his little girl, but the feline’s claws clenched tightly around the pastor’s leg. After several alarming minutes of agony, the trainer was able to get the animal to release the brave pastor’s bleeding leg. At the end of the story, De Gracia gives us this powerful lesson:
A wild animal is a wild animal and, even if it looks harmless, it can attack. Regardless of how well-trained it may be, its instincts can come out on display at any time. The same thing happens with the archenemy of souls, Satan. He seems harmless; he invites you to take the picture of a lifetime, the one that will make you famous, the one that will launch you to the fame and success you imagine; and, suddenly, as the wild animal that he is, he pounces on you, subdues you with its claws, traps you, and strangles you.*
Satan, the «roaring lion» who tries to devour you, has specialized in «killing and destroying» (John 10:10). But even if you feel Satan has grabbed your leg, and seems like a furious and fearsome wild animal, he will not be able to defeat Christ’s followers. This precious, marvelous promise is for all those who are under the enemy’s fierce attack: «The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet» (Romans 16:20, NIV). The enemy who is deceiving, humiliating, and hurting you today will pay for his attacks against you.
The time is drawing near. With your own eyes you will soon see our powerful Lord defeating him for good.
