SOME TIME AGO someone gave me a book entitled Rich Woman, written by Kim Kiyosaki. The skills women have for business and finance are extolled in it. I thought it was interesting how it presented the model of a woman who can become a millionaire by using her skills. We cannot doubt such assertions, considering that, according to statistics, there are about half a million millionaire women in the world. It’s amazing that 43% of millionaires in the planet are women. We realize by reading this kind of data that women have a prominent place in the world of finance and business.
Possibly many of us only have enough material possessions to get by. However, we also have a great treasure, given to us through our feminine essence. The emotional prevails over the rational in us and, although many downplay this feature, it’s what connects us to other human beings in a special way, and what allows us to be empathetic and merciful when faced with other people’s suffering and need. Men can perform jobs that require lots of physical strength, while a women’s strength lies in her emotional ability to support and care for those in need, or to overcome some adversities in life.
Creativity is also part of the treasure God shared with us when He made us feminine. We have a great sense of aesthetics; we recognize beauty and that leads us to create small works of art that make our home a beautiful place to live. And not only that, we can also perform many tasks at once, in a short time and very efficiently. Taking care of our babies, preparing a meal for our family and helping the older kids with their homework; these are things we can do simultaneously without feeling overwhelmed.
Dear friend reading these lines, discover your treasure and feel rich. Though you may not be rich from a material standpoint, don’t let that prevent you from seeing and valuing the emotional and spiritual wealth God has given you. Don’t waste it on trivial, superfluous and unnecessary things. Use it to serve God and you will have earnings here in your earthly life and make treasures in Heaven.
