Imagine that your doctor tells you that you shouldn’t eat any sugary foods or drinks.
But then you’re watching television and you see a commercial that says sugar is good for you.
Who do you think is right? The doctor or the commercial?
Many people make wrong decisions because they want to do their own will and they don’t accept good advice more knowledgeable people give them.
The same thing happens to Christians.
Many times they don‘t want to read what the Bible says or they don’t want to listen to the Holy Spirit’s voice in their minds because they want to do their own will, in other words, whatever they want.
When someone wants to do the will of God, they Shouldn’t worry too much about it. Do you know why?
Because the only thing they need to do to is get to know Jesus.
If you read about His life and what He said about His Father every day, you’ll always obey Him almost without realizing it.
just as Jesus did what His Father wanted Him to, you can also obey, that is, do what He wants you to do.
If you read the Bible, you’ll realize that God is wiser than you and I and, like the doctor, He knows what’s best.
So if you want to make wise decisions, don’t do whatever you want, but rather what your Creator, the Author of the Bible, says.
That way it will always be easy for you to obey God’s will.
