«It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear» (Isaiah 65:24).
WHEN THE LADY stood up in front of a group of women to give her testimony, she shared with us how God had worked a miracle in her life, making her cancer disappear from her body. Doctors were unable to find an explanation for it. I was impressed and at the same time pensive. When I had gone through a similar situation, I prayed a lot for a miracle just like her; however, nothing happened for me to avoid a very complicated and painful surgery. Her testimony made me think that perhaps I did not deserve a miracle like the one she had received. But then I realized I was wrong. What actually happened was that I received it in a different way. Over time, my understanding of God’s care for me has greatly changed.
The miracles the Lord performs in our lives cannot be measured or compared; they are simply and plainly, miracles, and we barely notice many of them. God answers all our requests; He knows our wants, dreams and desires and of course, He wants to grant them to us, even when His answer does not always come the way we had expected. Life itself and what sustains it’s a miracle. Each breath, each heartbeat, the design of our eyes, our ability to hear, taste and smell are miraculous actions, whose explanation escapes the brightest minds.
Before expecting a supernatural miracle to happen in your life, learn to appreciate the ones that you pass by without noticing them for you consider them small and insignificant. I mean the miracles that take place throughout your daily routine. The physical strength you have to perform your tasks, a close-knit family, the roof that protects you from storms, babies being born, fruit growing on a tree branch, flowers blooming in a field without human care, they are all miracles from God. We receive His miracles every day.
May your prayer today be, «Thank You, Father for all the blessings I receive from You. Help me to appreciate the miracles that make it possible for me to live on this planet. Give me the faith to wait, trusting that You will work in my life at the right time.»
