And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. ROMANS 8:28, NKJV
There are hundreds of locations all over the world that contain preserved dinosaur footprints in hardened mud or clay. During a film shoot, I was supposed to explore a dinosaur track site. As I reached for a location, I discovered that the southeast corner of Colorado has one of the best dinosaur track sites in North America. I researched what it would take to get there what the terrain looked like and how hard it is to reach the tracks. When I did the calculations, I discovered it would require driving four hours into the wilderness. After arriving, we would have to continue on foot through a desert canyon for several more miles. It was not an easy place to get to, but I was determined to select some of the best scenic locations in North America for this video series!
Besides the eight-hour round-trip drive, it would take us another six hours hiking to and from the track site, plus time there to film scenes-we were in for a fifteen-hour workday! After driving four hours, we made it to the parking area only to discover that there was an uncontrolled brush fire nearby and the entire area was off limits! At this point we realized our entire day was lost, and we’d lose another day trying to shoot these scenes elsewhere. A couple of weeks later, we finally shot the scenes at another track site of Wyoming.
At first I was disappointed that we weren’t able to film those scenes in Colorado and found myself wishing the fire hadn’t happened. When we ask GOD to be in control of our lives, we don’t have to worry, because the BIBLE says that all things work together for those who loved GOD. I may never fully know why that Colorado location never worked out, but I have decided to trust that GOD was working things out. Will you let Him work things out for you today?
