«And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows» (Luke 12:7, NLT).
Pumpkin seeds and my stomach do not get along well (I would rather spare you the details!) however, since pumpkin seeds have a lot of fiber and are rich in vitamins and minerals, they have become popular. It is practically impossible to find a good box of muesli without them. When I go to the grocery store, I always tend to buy the same brand, because its products are healthy and do not have sugar. Unfortunately, they do have pumpkin seeds. So, every morning I pour out my cereal, making sure I take out each and every single seed.
One morning, as I shook my bowl as if searching for gold, I thought that God takes much greater care of my life than I do with my breakfast. God notices every emotion and need I have, as if I were the only woman on the face of the earth. In Steps to Christ, Ellen G. White writes, «Take to Him everything that perplexes the mind. Nothing is too great for Him to bear, for He holds up worlds, He rules over all the affairs of the universe. Nothing that in any way concerns our peace is too small for Him to notice. . . The relations between God and each soul are as distinct and full as though there were not another soul upon the earth to share His watch care, not another soul for whom He gave His beloved Son.”ch 11, p. 100. God pays as much attention to you as if you were the only soul for whom Jesus died!
As you begin this day, remember God is interested in every detail of your routine. He wants to know about the mechanic who will repair your car, taxes you have to pay and changes at work. Tell him absolutely everything. Every time anxiety or stress arise, take them as reminders to speak to God. Do not proceed alone in your own strength when the Lord wants to help you! Shake the bowl, lift your agenda up as a waved offering and allow God to take away or add things according to His will. God is absolutely interested in your life. Share every detail of it with Him.
Dear Lord, thank you for loving me so much
that the details of my life do not bore You.
today I want to take every step at Your side,
depending on Your strength and wisdom, not mine.
