«Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all» (Proverbs 31:29).
BEING A WOMAN TODAY isn’t as simple as it used to be, when roles were clearly defined, even before one was born. Today a woman has to find her essence in endless philosophical currents. Which one will she choose to identify with? Some organizations and groups have been created to promote an endless power struggle between the feminine and the masculine, but to be a woman is simply to discover, accept, and enjoy our personal qualities ins freedom and with the rights guaranteed by the law. A woman’s strength isn’t proven by fighting against men, it’s tested on the battlefield of life and from her own trench.
Female strength isn’t only tested when it comes to giving birth. Women develop it by being tender but at the same time firm and determined when it comes to the safety or her family and herself. The strength of her authority comes from her strong convictions; she sows values with loving creativity; never runs over the dignity of others; she kneels before God with tears and supplication, moans and cries, to get up renewed and full of strength to act, give, propose, mold, drive, and save.
Don’t waste your life complaining about your position just because you were born a woman. «Squeeze the juice» out of your feminine condition. «Re-create» every day the perfect image that God intended for you to have. Present yourself before the Lord with honesty and He will repair the damage that circumstances may have caused you. Don’t waste your strength carrying complexes, grudges, and resentments related to your gender. Don’t feed your life with unnecessary fears or other people’s sadness. Don’t let the damage that others might have caused you become incurable diseases that might take your mind forever.
No night, however long, has ever been able to prevent the sun from rising. Love yourself and love with all your heart the One who created you. Give Him honor by fulfilling His purposes in your life. Defeat has no place with Christ. When you fall, He lifts you up with the same old love. Behind the tears there is laughter; hidden in pain there is pleasure. Sadness serves to bring you to the feet of the Lord; joy makes you look up to heaven and praise Him. Praise the Lord for being a woman!
