SALVATION
«Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved» (Acts 4:12)
For a whole year, we have meditated on the power of God to achieve full health. Today, we invite you to highlight Christ, in each topic that we have addressed. Remember that true self-esteem is based on the value that God gives us; because only Christ can say: «Because in my eyes you are of great esteem, you are honorable and I have loved you; I will give nations in exchange for your life ”(Isaiah 43: 4). And what about the family? Understand the most intimate bonds of love and tenderness; even so, only Christ will say: «Behold, I have carved you on the palms of my hands; Your walls are always before me ”(Isaiah 49:16). What’s more, there are friends more united than brothers who are capable of giving their lives for each other. Yet only Christ «shows his love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us» (Romans 5: 8). Through the Bible, we try to know the principles and values that govern the divine government; however, the love of Christ surpasses all knowledge (Ephesians 3:19).
In dealing with difficulties, each of us has been created with the potential to overcome them, and they are a blessing for character development. Only Christ, on the other hand, overcame death and has «the keys of death and Hades» (Revelation 1:18). Service to others often gives life a purpose; but only Christ was born «to serve and to give his life as a ransom for all» (Mark 10:45). Various temptations assail us every day, but only Christ can «sympathize with our weaknesses … [because] he was tempted in all things like our likeness, but without sin» (Hebrews 4:15. Anxiety is an emotional state from which we all want to be free, But only Christ invites us to cast our anxiety on him, because he cares for us (1 Peter 5: 7).
You and I are urged to forgive those who have offended us; but only Christ delights to forgive (Micah 7:18); Furthermore, you can instill this kind of forgiveness in the hearts of those who love you. Sadness touches the heart of a good Christian, but only Christ can transform it into joy (John 16:20) with the hope that, one day soon, he will eradicate it (Revelation 21: 4).
Finally, remember, above all, that “in no other is there salvation; because there is no other name under heaven, given to men, by which we can be saved.
