Occasionally life seems to turn miraculous. While we know that angels seldom appear to us in the physical world, they certainly keep busy trying to get others to come to our aid. Listen to this amazing story from Alberta, Canada:
It was the summer of 1998. I was at my cabin with my friend Ashley Woods. That summer I was having trouble believing in God.
Ashley and I walked to a nearby candy store with my dog, Bandit. When we arrived, we tied Bandit to a bench and went in. Then we came out and were sitting on the bench enjoying our treats when, all of a sudden, a big bulldog attacked Bandit. We tried to stop the fight, but couldn’t. Both of us started to pray. A moment after we prayed, a man appeared in front of us. He was wearing a long, black trench coat and a cowboy hat. The attacking dog walked away when the man came. I looked at Bandit and then turned to say «Thank you,» but the man was gone! It was as if he had disappeared into thin air.
As Ashley and I walked home, neither of us spoke a word. We were both thanking the Lord for sending that man to save the life of Bandit. The stranger was like an angel in disguise!
Wow! What a beautiful illustration of what God can accomplish through willing helpers
