AN AMAZING FACTORY

Create in me a clean heart, 0 God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. PSALM 51:10, NKJV

Nestlé is a European company that makes chocolate—and I have to admit n they do a very good job! Naturally, since there are some people who really love and appreciate chocolate, Nestlé decided to offer tours of their chocolate factory in Switzerland, and I went as part of a class trip. The guide was great, and the tour was fascinating. We got to see how chocolate is made from the first step all the way to the packaging. When the tour finished, we were brought to a room where Nestle was displaying many of the different types of chocolates they made. What an amazing display of chocolate! They were neatly piled up on beautiful plates so you could see the various kinds and sizes of chocolates they made. The shock came when the tour guide announced that the tour was now over but that we were welcome to try as much of their chocolate as we wanted! Yes, you read correctly. We were put in a room with hundreds of beautiful chocolates and told that we could eat as much as we wanted. Of course, I tried quite a few pieces.

At first I thought I would be able to clean out the place, but after a few minutes I discovered I had eaten more than enough and I didn’t want anymore. I remember thinking at first, «I’m going to eat fifty pieces of chocolate!» but I ended up eating about twelve pieces. Why? The first ones were pretty good, the next few were OK, but the last five were sickening.

It’s definitely possible to fill your stomach with the wrong stuff, but what about your heart? If we are not careful with what we allow into our hearts, we may end tip filling it with bad things that will separate us from GOD.

Today, ask GOD to clean your heart, then choose to fill your heart with things that will lying you closer to GOD.
