“Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard,
Anointed the feet of Jesus, and wipe His feet with her hair.
And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil”
(John 12:30).
PERFUME is an essential accessory for today’s women. Experts in the matter declare that the same perfume products a different smell in each woman.
When it’s absorbed by the skin, it gives a different aroma in each body. In fact, it has happened to me, even with my eyes closed, I know who is approaching by simply smelling her unique aroma.
Has it happened to you too?
In the Bible, we find the story of a roman who, wanting to go unnoticed, could not be ignored because she poured expensive perfume Jesus’s feet.
The fragrance reached the senses of those present and unleashed different reactions from everyone. My dear sister, your presence is like a perfume’s aroma; you will never be able to go unnoticed. Everyone who comes into contact with you will enjoy your presence when it personifies the presence of God Himself.
What does it mean to be a good perfume? Among other things, being a good perfume means healing first your internal wounds, setting aside your resentment and pain, overcoming your traumatic experiences and learning to forgive in order to love. Once you have performed this internal work, your external relationships will be characterized by the fragrance of friendship, respect, love, and even admiration.
It also means fostering a spirit of praise, contentment and gratitude; that will make you give off a heavenly aroma that cures, comforts and repairs sad and downcast hearts.
God wants to turn you into fine alabaster where He can pour out the exquisite perfume of his presence. May your hearts wish be.
Heavenly Father, make me
o perfect replica of your love,
at all times and places,
in that the fragrance of your presence ‘
might anoint my mind and heart
though the power of your Holy Spirit, ’
so that I may be a blessing to others.
Amen.
