Lord,» cried Razy, a little girl only seven years old, «I like my country, I like my school, and I like the peace we have here. I don’t want to go and live in that dangerous place my parents talk about. If you could and would, help us not have to move. I thank You already because I know that You are going to answer my prayer.» And that is what happened: at the right time, Razy received what she had asked for. Father heard the sincere prayer of the little girl and decided to intervene in her favor. There is no sincere prayer that our heavenly Father over looks!
What a blessing and what incredible joy it is to learn how to be in the presence of the Lord in prayer. There is no problem so great that it does not have a solution if you decide to take it on your knees to the feet of Jesus. What do you need today that the power of prayer can do for you?
Do you need God to work justice for you promptly because you are being unjustly treated and do not know how to resolve that situation? God will” hear [your] prayers and [your] requests in heaven, where [He] resides, and fight for [your] cause» (1 Kings 8:49, ISV). Do you need health because pain or an illness troubles you? «Thus, says the Lord, the God of David your father: ‘I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely, I will heal you’ » (2 Kings 20:5). Do you feel helpless, as if you do not matter to anyone? The Scriptures assure you: «He will listen to the prayers of the destitute. He will not reject their pleas» (Psalm 102:17, NLT). Do you feel like you are going to collapse, as if you have no more strength to go forward or, perhaps, even to pray? Look at what the prophet Jonah said: «When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the Lord; and my prayer went up to You, into Your holy temple» (Jonah 2:7). Prayer. is the key for all situation in life: to endure them; to find the divine answer, not the human one; to receive the energy that only God can give you. If you are heartbroken, pray (James 5:13). If you need God to give you» knowledge and all discernment,» pray (Philippians 1:9). If you need the forgiveness of God this morning, confess your sin and your wrong to Him unreservedly, and the Lord will forgive you (Psalm 32:5). Live a life of prayer. This is the most crucial habit. «Since you hear prayer, everybody will come to you»(Psalm 65:2, ISV
