When I was in grade school, I loved field trips. It could be a trip to the nearby aquarium, farm, or museum. No matter where we were going it was fun and exciting to go somewhere different with m friends and learn by seeing and experiencing something new. When I was younger, public museums never had any religious or spiritual displays or comments. As a matter of fact, it was totally the opposite.
They usually taught that there was no God or creator. They taught that life appeared by itself and evolved over millions of years into amazingly complex creatures by change. As an adult, when I took my own children to those museums, I was always ready to remind them that many of these explanations were contrary to the Bible because they relied o faulty human ideas.
A few years ago I hear about a new museum. I was very excited that someone was building a state-of-art museum that gave God the credit for what He had done. It was built in Kentucky, just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio, and it was simply called The Creator Museum. Shortly after it opened, I planned a trip with my family to visit the museum. I was amazed. I had previously visited all the Smithsonian museum in Washington, DC and several prominent university museums in the United States, but the new Creation museum had interactive displays, lots of TV screens with short video clips explaining things, amazing robotic creatures, and exhibits that talked or made sounds.
There were painstakingly recreated historical scenes and even a planetarium and 4-D theater! The best part was that entire museum credited to God and gave him the glory for being the Creator.
Sometimes we find ourselves trying to blend into this world, but God has called us to go out and boldly proclaim the truth!
