Q: I’m a ten-year-old boy. I like a girl in my class, but I’m not sure if she likes me. Whenever I try to say hi or talk to her, I get real nervous. What should I do in order for her to like me?
A: I know what you mean about getting nervous when you • try to talk to the girl you like. I remember talking to my «dream girl» when I was ten–I stuttered like a guilty criminal on the witness stand. Now I’m convinced that being nervous is part of being a guy!
As for getting her to like you, that’s her choice. Give it lots of time. Don’t get carried away with her, but rather get to know lots of different girls. As you start feeling comfortable talking to different girls, you will find it easier to talk with the one you have special feelings for. Practice at it and take your time!
