Jesus said, 1 am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.» MARK 14:62, NKJV
A couple of summers ago I was filming a video series, and our production travel had brought us to Mount Hood, Oregon. Mount Hood has some great skiing, and we knew this would be a great place to get wonderful footage for the video we were producing. The reason I’m sharing this story is that it was the middle of July! That morning when we left Portland, was eighty degrees! Now we were on our way to shoot snowboarding scenes. Mount Hood is the only place in the lower forty-eight states that offers year-round skiing. Mount Hood has twelve glaciers near the top that provide year-round snow. The ski area has a special chairlift that is mainly open the summer when the lower slopes are closed. This chair is called the «magic mile» because it takes skiers one extra mile higher up the mountain dur the summer, allowing visitors to reach the glacier to ski.
We took the chairlifts to the highest point possible. The view was incredible. The sky was super blue because we were thousands of feet above t clouds. All we could see was an endless sea of clouds. In order to get off the mountain we would have to ride down into the clouds. It was definite’ unique experience!
Clouds are mentioned in the BIBLE several times. My favorite mention when the BIBLE reveals to us that one day JESUS will return to earth in the clouds. What a wonderful day that will be! If you have clouds in sky today, think about that joyous day when JESUS will return to take us to our new home in heaven!
