SURPRISED IN IDAHO

Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.                                              1 TIMOTHY 6:18, NIV

I have had the chance to visit several of the most famous Waterfalls in the world, including Angel Falls in Venezuela, Victoria Falls in Africa, and Iguacu Falls on the border of Argentina and Brazil. Not long ago, I got to visit another waterfall that completely surprised me. I was planning a cross country road trip through the United States when I learned about waterfall I had never even heard of before. At first I didn’t think much of it because I had already seen Niagara Falls, the most visited falls in the United States. I had also visited several different waterfalls in Yosemite national Park, which also draw lots of tourist. I thought I had seen most of the largest waterfalls in the United States, but I was wrong.

The falls I discovered were in Twin Falls, Idaho. When I saw pictures of the waterfalls, I knew this was a place we had to visit. As we neared the falls that day I was excited with anticipation. We parked and got out, and there before me was Shoshone Falls, one of the most impressive waterfalls I have ever seen! My first thought was, “Why don’t more people know about this place? The waterfalls are taller that Niagara Falls, and there aren’t any of the annoying   touristy distractions you see at Niagara. There are some trails along the sides of the canyon that allowed is to get and amazing view of this impressive waterfalls, I never forget to share what I know about an awesome, lesser-known waterfall in North America, Shoshone Falls.

We’ve been taught since we were little that we are to share with others. This doesn’t only included sharing about special places; it also includes sharing your time serving others, and of course, sharing your things with those in need.

God will bless your generosity!
