Do you like to drink water?
Get a cup and fill it with water. Notice how the water is transparent, colorless, flavorless, and odorless.
Water is essential to live. More than seventy percent of our body is made up of water. God made it the best drink for our body. Every living creature needs water to live.
Do you know how long you can survive without water? Between three and five days. Adults can survive a little longer, but it’s very important for you to drink eight cups of water a day to have a healthy body.
Jesus also drank water. One day He stopped by a well in the region of Samaria and He asked a woman for a drink from the water she had drawn with her pitcher.
The woman was surprised He was talking to her; first, because He was a man and it wasn’t considered proper for a man to speak to an unknown woman; and second, because He was a Jew, and Jews and Samaritans didn’t get along well.
Finding it strange, she asked Him, “How is it that you, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” And jesus replied, “If you knew the gift of God, and who is asking a drink from you, you would ask Him, and He would give you living water” (you can read about it in John 4).
What did jesus mean to tell that Samaritan woman? Jesus is the Living water. He’s saved all of us for free, but you can only be saved if you ask Him for it, that is, if you want Him to be your Savior. The Samaritan woman accepted jesus as her Savior. What about you? Wifl you ask Him to be your Savior.
