Underline the correct answer
a. To test him
b. To prove his wisdom
c. Both previous answers are correct
Have you ever been asked a hard question you didn’t know how to answer? Maybe it was about math, grammar, or science .. .
Few people know all the answers. Experts in math don’t always know about grammar and vice versa.
People normally specialize in only one subject. Can you imagine if there was someone who knew about every subject?
Do you know anybody who knows all the answers to the hardest questions?
Probably not.
Well, I have to tell you that if wise Solomon lived today, he would win every television contest.
Solomon was so wise that his fame spread not only throughout Israel, but also throughout many parts of the world.
The Bible says that one day the Queen of Sheba, a queen from southern Arabia, decided to visit Solomon.
The queen wanted to know if his fame was true. She wanted to prove Solomon’s wisdom for herself.
The Queen of Sheba was very rich. She arrived at Solomon’s palace bearing gold, precious jewels, and large quantities of spices as gifts.
I’m sure she had studied and read about many things and had lots of questions.
Since there was no Internet or a great encyclopedia in which to find answers in those days, the Queen of Sheba wanted to visit and share her many questions and curiosity with Solomon.
The Bible says that the Queen of Sheba was so amazed by Solomon’s wise words that she praised the God of Israel (you can read about it in 2 Chronicles 9:5-8).
In your Prayer Journal, write down the questions you would have asked King Solomon.
Then with the help of an adult, look up the answers online.
