WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR JESUS TO BE THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON?

Underline the correct answer

a. That He’s an only child

b. That He’s the first-born

c. That He’s unique because He’s divine and human

Has anyone ever told you you’re special and unique?

For example, that you’re unique when you play football or recite poetry.

The Bible says that Jesus was God’s only begotten Son; that He was unique.

What does that mean? Well, it means he’s different than we are.

You’re God’s child with a lower-case letter, do you know why? Because you’re human, not divine.

But Jesus is God’s Son with a capital letter, do you know why? Because human beings who are God’s children’s, Jesus was born as a human, but also as God. He was God from the beginning, along time before this world was created.

Nothing else is human and divine. Only Jesus. That’s why Jesus is unique.

And the relationship between God the Father and God the Son is also unique because they’re unique.

The Bible tries to explain the relationship between them and that’s why it calls them God the Father and God the Son, because we can understand the love between fathers and sons. However, they’re both God, so both of them existed and it‘s wrong to say that Jesus was created by God, because as we know, Jesus existed in the very beginning, a long time before this world was created.

The most important thing is that the apostle john calls Jesus unique because He’s the only one who could save you. Jesus is your only Savior, and if you believe in Him, you’ll live forever in the New Earth He’s preparing for you.

In your Prayer Journal, explain why you think jesus is unique.
