Where in the Bible is the Letter to the Colossians found?

Look it up in your Bible. The Letter to the Colossians is found in the New Testament, after Philippians and before the First Letter to the Thessalonians. The Colossians lived in Colosse (also spelled Colossae), a city that is in Asia Minor. Colosse had been a very rich city because it was visited by merchants traveling from Ephesus to Syria. However, it was not long before that com­mercial route changed, and Colosse stopped being an important city because almost no one traveled there.

His name was Epaphras and he was from Colosse. Epaphras opened the first Christian church in that city. But in that church, there were some prob­lems among the members, because some believed they were better than the others. Epaphras didn’t know how to solve these problems, so he decid­ed to seek advice from the apostle Paul, who was in jail for preaching and talking about )esus.

When Paul learned of these problems, he decided to write the Letter to the Colossians to help them solve their problems and continue trusting in Jesus.

Paul wrote this letter while he was in prison in Rome in the year AD 61.
