DECISIONS
«Be diligent to know the state of your flocks, and attend to your herds; for riches are not forever, nor does a crown endure to all generations»
(Proverbs 27:23, 24).
In 1206, the Mongolian warrior Temüjin was elected lord of all the nomads of the steppe and received the name that made him famous: Genghis Khan (1167— 1227), which means «universal emperor.» In twenty years, he carried out one of the most important military expansions in history and raised the colossal Mongol Empire, conquering much of northern China, then under the control of the kingdom of Xi Xia and the Yurchen Empire, and crushed the Muslim empire of Juarezm, in Central Asia. The interesting thing is that the armies of Genghis Khan did not have any type of technological superiority with respect to its predecessors. In fact, his main weapon was the composite arch, with just a few differences, which the Scythians had used more than two thousand years earlier.
What was the cause of his success? It was due to a number of factors, among other things, the leadership of the Mongolian general, considered one of the best military men in history. But there were also other factors, such as selecting men based on their personal qualities, and not because of their ties with the aristocracy, to occupy positions of responsibility. Because of that, the leader had the most qualified people at his side. Another pillar of his prowess in the art of war was the discipline he established among his troops. «If we win, let no one take any loot at that moment, for all will be distributed later; and we have to retreat, let us return to the place where we started, and we will attack once again with zeal.
Anyone who does not return to the formation will be beheaded»—Pelegero, Borga. «Gengis Kan, the Charismatic Mogolian Conqueror,» National Geographic Espafia, History, june 2, 2017

Leadership, good counselors, and discipline. No carelessness, no cronyism, no anarchy. Anyone can win a battle in life, even in a fortuitous way, but to consolidate a series of triumphs for several years is no coincidence. For that you need good leadership, capable people by your side, and order. These are factors that you can: not neglect if you want to take make the most of your passage through this world.
Today ask the Lord to help you find the best companions and develop habits such as order and discipline in your life.
