We have traveled together the life of the Apostle Paul and the tireless missionary journey of this paladin of truth and of the gospel. Passionate about Christ and the mission, he motivates and generates commitment. His testimony has always moved me, and now even more. I feel in debt, and I renew my faith and my hope.
I want to save these two pages for you. It is his testament to you and to everyone, based on his own writings drawn from the Bible.
I leave you with Pablo, a voice of hope.
“Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, grace and peace.
Lord, what do you want me to do? Miserable of me. Who will free me from this body of death? All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, but I thank God, through Jesus Christ who came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the first.
Unquestionably great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached to the Gentiles, believed in the world, received up in glory.
There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus because the just shall live by faith; For this reason, I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation, because we are buried together with him to death through baptism, so that we can walk in a new life, because all those who are led by the Spirit are children of God.
What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, how could he not also give us all things with him? Since we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. I beg you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, hating what is evil, following what is good, for you have been bought with a price; do everything for the glory of God.
It is time to get up from sleep, because each one will give an account of himself to God and our salvation is closer than when we believed. Faith comes by hearing the Word, praying without ceasing, with one accord, loving one another, rejoicing in hope, rejoicing in the Lord always and sharing the needs of the saints.
If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; he reconciled us and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; comforts us to console. With Christ I am crucified together, and I no longer live, Christ lives in me more in order to perfect the saints for the edification of the body of Christ, until we all reach the unity of faith, the stature of the fullness of Christ.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can resist in the bad day and, having finished everything, stand firm. I can do everything in Christ who strengthens me; he is the only Mediator, immutable and eternal Priest, by whom everything was created and all things in him subsist. He is also the head of the body that is the church, because for me to live is Christ and to die is gain.
If, then, you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, not those of the Earth, those that the eye did not see or hear nor have heard or ascended to the heart of man, those that God has prepared for those who love him; therefore, woe to me if I did not preach the gospel.
May the same God of peace sanctify you completely; and your whole being may be kept blameless for the coming of our Lord. Remain faith, hope and love. Each one gives as he proposed in his heart, because God loves a cheerful giver.
Remembering that this slight momentary tribulation produces in us an ever more excellent and eternal weight of glory; when the corruptible is clothed with incorruption and this mortal with immortality.
If you hear his voice today, do not harden your hearts, for it is established for men to die only once, and after this the Judgment. Christ was offered only once to bear the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, unrelated to sin, to save those who wait for him.
I do not claim to have reached it; But I do one thing: forgetting what is left behind, reaching out to what is ahead, I continue to the goal, to the prize of the highest calling.
For yet a little while, and he who is to come will come, and will not delay; therefore, let us shed all weight and the sin that beset us, and patiently run the race that lies ahead, keeping our eyes on Jesus, Author and Finisher of faith.
Because our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also await the Savior. He will transform our mortal body into a glorious body like his.
You, then, suffer hardships as a good soldier of Jesus Christ, fight as an athlete, work as a farmer. Because I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is near.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith, and the crown of justice is reserved for me, which the Lord, the just Judge, will give me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who love his coming.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen».
We will meet in heaven.
Your brother Pablo, rekindled by a passion.
