I CAN DO EVERYTHING ON GOOGLE

«I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me» (Philippians 4:13).

GOOGLE IS ONE of the most important Internet search engines. An undisputed leader in the West, it has only found some competition in China (with Baidu) and Russia (with Yandex).

More than 6.5 billion searches are performed daily at Google and gains five percent new users each year. There are over 450 million active Gmail accounts. It has a profit of $30,000 every minute, and ninety percent comes from advertising.

The name Google comes from «googol,» which is a mathematical term created in 1938 by nine-year-old Milton Sirotta, a nephew of American mathematician Edward Kasner. It is expressed as a unit followed by one hundred zeros. It is a giant number that represents a seemingly infinite amount of information. In fact, no element in the universe has a number that large; it is even greater than the number of hydrogen atoms in the known universe.

Google organizes a great quantity of information and makes it accessible and useful for everyone. There are those who do nothing without consulting Google, the great, powerful giant. In it, users find a friend, a confidant, a doctor, a guide . . . it is practically the solution to everything!

However, as a source of wisdom, love, friendship, and power, nothing works better than Christ and His Word. He is a powerful giant of truth. In Him, we can do everything because He gives us strength to do our duty, power to resist temptation, strength to endure affliction, patience to suffer, grace to grow, courage to fight, and energy to serve.

I can face everything thanks to Christ who strengthens me.

I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength,

I can face any situation because Christ gives me the power to do it.

I can come out unscathed from all kinds of trials because Christ gives me the strength.

Christ gives me the strength to face all kinds of situations.

We will not be able to do anything if we are separated from Jesus. However, with Him, we will be able to do everything. «Remember that working with Christ as your personal Saviour is your strength and your victory. This is the part that all are to act» (Testimonies for the Church, vol. 7, p. 39).

I propose to you a real business with eternal implications: much less from Google and much more about Christ and His Word.
