Underline the correct answer
a. Habakkuk
b. Paul
c. Both previous answers are correct
Have you ever been treated unfairly?
Maybe you weren’t talking in class, but the teacher scolded you. Perhaps you got good grades, but your parents did not give you the gift they said they would
Sometimes things are not as fair as we would like or as we think they should be.
Actually, the Bible says that there is only one person who did things right and who was righteous. Do you know who it was? Yes, it was Jesus.
Human beings are not righteous, we really are bad, and we make many mistakes. Although we try to comply with all the rules, we don’t succeed. However, the apostle Paul reminds us of the words of the prophet Habakkuk that he wrote many years ago in the Bible, that God makes us righteous.
Do you want to be righteous? i imagine you do. You may ask yourself; how can i be righteous? The Bible says that God makes us righteous by having faith in Jesus.
If you believe and trust Jesus, God does not blame you for your mistakes, but makes you righteous. Because Jesus was righteous and paid for your mistakes by dying on the cross, you can be righteous.
Jesus «justifies» you and defends you when someone blames you for something. Although you deserve a punishment, Jesus forgives you, because He loves you and knows that you have faith in Him.
