This long word comes from Greek, and means «transformation, that is a change that goes above and beyond . Metamorphosis happens with many animals, such as lobsters, crickets, dragonflies, and even frogs; and also in butterflies or moths, which are most active at night and feed on the nectar of flowers.
How does metamorphosis occur? As an example, let’s see what happens to a butterfly, how it is transformed First, the butterfly lays eggs on the leaves of a plant or on a tree. After a few days, larvae that look like worms come out of the eggs and eat non stop, so they grow rapidly. When the larvae become very chubby, they start making cocoons that cover them completely and are called «chrysalis.»
They can stay inside those cocoons for up to two months. And then .. surprisingly, a wonderful transformation takes place because what comes out of the chrysalis is no longer a worm, but a beautiful butterfly. Conversion is the process in which we letJesus become our Savior and best Friend. And once we accept Him, He has promised to keep us going through a process of metamorphosis-in other words, to transformus.
Although that transformation will not finish taking place until He comes for us again, you can be sure that when we let Him, Jesus can change and transform our lives so that we become more like Him every day.
