Have you ever seen a huge cloud?

Clouds are awesome, right? They move with the wind and change shapes. Sometimes they look like cotton floating in the sky.

When the Israelites left Egypt and were by the Red Sea, they were im­pressed to see that a great cloud, unlike any they had seen before, accompanied them as they walked.

That big cloud was very special. God wanted to show them that He was there with them. Through that cloud He guided them along the path they had to follow and protected them from the glaring desert sun. And when it got dark the cloud became a pillar of fire, so they could walk without any fear of the dark.

Whenever God wanted to speak to Moses, the cloud would be located above the tabernacle. When the cloud rose and moved, the people knew that they had to break down camp and start walking again.

God is so good! He knew that it was hot in the desert, so He gave them His shade with the cloud. He also knew that at night it was cold and dark, so he gave them His light and heat with the column of fire.

God always meets your needs and helps you feel good. Even when you go through a desert in your life and you have a problem, He always accompa­nies you. Even if you don’t see His cloud, He’s always there, because He loves you so much that He will always be by your side.

Draw a cloud and a pillar of fire in your Prayer Journal and ask Jesus t o accompany you day and night.
