A WOMEN WHO LOVES GOD
«Nevertheless, she will be saved in childbearing if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control» (l Timothy 2:15).
THE WOMAN WHO IS A WIFE and mother has a predominant and irreplaceable role in the home, and her influence transcends the limits of the home. For this reason, it’s necessary that you develop a great sense of responsibility and commitment regarding the realization of the common tasks of the family Running a house well is not an easy task. It requires great skills of organization, creativity, strength, wisdom, kindness, self-control, prudence, order, and good administration (Cantú, 173).
The care of the home and family is not a small responsibility, on the contrary, its where lives are formed for this earth and for eternity. Ellen G. White says, «A knowledge of domestic duties is beyond price to every woman. There are families without number whose happiness is wrecked by the inefficiency of the wife and mother» (The Adventist Home, ch. 13, p. 91).
Facing this solemn declaration, the wife, mother, and housewife should seek with earnest desire to know and do God’s will; so, she can reflect the holiness and purity of heaven in everything she does. How many women are overwhelmed by the tasks of the home, and they develop a bitter and anxious spirit, forgetting to rest at the feet of Jesus! I wish they would stop a little and listen to the sweet voice of the Master’s invitation: «Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest» (Matthew 11:28). How tenderly the Lord calls us and how little, at times, are we willing to accept His sweet invitation.
Now is the time to develop a relationship of permanent fellowship with Jesus, so that our homes are like the guiding lighthouse in the dark of the night. Let us be women of prayer, so we may model eternal virtues to our children, and be supportive and helpful to our husbands. Remember that everything you do is in the sight of God. May your prayer be: «Lord, may the need for your presence never be extinguished in my life. Please never be tired of knocking on my door! Take me in your arms and grant me the privilege of seeing all my loved ones enter the heavenly kingdom »
